Our programming ensures success not only in the performing arts, but a growth that is pivotal for the success of the young adults of tomorrow.  The education gleaned from AUD programs builds valuable skills that children will take with them throughout their lives in everything they do. The benefits of and AUD education are many.

Treasure Trunk

Ages—5 to 7 years
We’ll open the AUD treasure trunk to discover something mysterious and exciting that inspires each week’s interactive adventure. Learning to band together as an ensemble. We’ll use our voices, bodies, and imaginations to creative the characters that inhabit the tales we weave together, and overcome the dramatic challenges that await us.

We’ll act as an ensemble as we create characters and solve problems in our own imaginary world. Our bodies and voices will be our instruments as we work together to tell our original, collective tales. Along the way—music, art, and props will inspire our dramatic role-playing and give life to our imaginary world.

Homeschool Heroes and Heroines Programs

We are committed to creating a safe environment for homeschool students in and around the Kershaw County community. Our Homeschool Heroes and Heroines program provide a space for homeschoolers to gather and ACT UP! This program supports arts integrated curricula, supports homeschoolers in the sharing of ideas, building community, having a creative outlet, learning to problem solve, and belonging to a vibrant theatre community. We’ll explore the core principles of acting, including voice and movement, theatre vocabulary, objectives and obstacles, and the importance of risk-taking and ensemble building. We’ll take our acting and storytelling skills to a new level by rehearsing and performing an in-studio performance of a play.
