Rosalyn+Smith-Stover

I’m Rosalyn Smith-Stover, the founder and director of ACT UP.

I’m an actress, poet, playwright, activist, and teacher.

I am a proud Theatre of the Oppressed and Playback Theatre practitioner. I have a master’s degree in leadership and organizational change as well as a master’s degree in education.

Theatre has been a wonderful part of my life and work for over twenty years. I began the non-profit AUD in 2005. Since that time, I’ve taught dramatic arts classes and provided applied theatre programs in places of worship, schools and community organizations.

Now, in the ACT UP studio, I'll be able to provide drama therapy under the supervision of the North American Drama Therapy Association.

Opening a theatre studio has been a goal of mine since my teenage years. While I’m excited to see my dream realized, I’m even more excited to share my dream of applied theatre and creative arts therapy with ALL of you!

The AUD studio is located in the quaint city of Camden, S.C., and we’re here to serve as a catalyst for inspiration, education and transformation for those near and far.

I am beyond excited to bring dramatic arts education, applied theatre, and the healing tools of Drama Therapy to our little corner of the world.

I look forward to talking with you about how we can utilize these dramatic tools to have fun, address social justice issues, and act out the things that are too big for words. We can utilize theatre to heal the hurt and trauma within our community, as we educate, enlighten, and entertain.

Give me a call, or email me, so that we can ACT UP together!

Dramatically Yours,
